Nell’ultimo periodo mi sono appassionata alla nuova serie della grande scrittrice Eloisa James. Chiunque legga da un pò romance sà che Eloisa è una delle più famose autrici americane di romance storici (e per noi italiane, come chicca, c’è anche il fatto che sia felicemente sposata da anni con un italiano) e con la serie Fairy Tales stà facendo un lavoro veramente eccezzionale. Io l’ho scoperta con l’uscita quest’anno di The Ugly Duchess, primo romanzo che ho letto…ed essendomi piaciuto veramente molto, ho poi proseguito con gli altri. Mi manca ormai solo il primo A Kiss At Midnight che leggerò al più presto.
Il filo conduttore della serie sono le favole, i personaggi non hanno alcun legame tra un romanzo e l’altro. Quello che lega questi libri è il fatto che sono “rivisitazioni” delle vecchie favole che tutti noi conosciamo: Cenerentola, La Bella e la Bestia, La Principessa sul Pisello e Il Brutto Anatroccolo. Le favole più conosciute e più amate in chiave romance. Come resistere!
